Aloha,

I’m Ed Freedman. I’m a father and a philanthropist with a passion for bringing people together and finding the most impactful ways to help my community.

I know the power of handshakes and face-to-face connections, and I believe in making commitments for the long haul, because the strongest bonds are built over time. I also believe that if you want something done the right way, sometimes you have to roll up your sleeves and do the work yourself.

Years ago I moved to Maui, and since then I’ve put down deep roots here. I’ve received so much kindness and wisdom from the people around me—giving back however I can feels like the right thing to do.

In 2017 I founded Stable Road Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to safeguarding the natural environment and helping children achieve their greatest potential. We’ve done some incredible projects both here on Maui and around the world. And with the help of our friends and partners, we’re getting ready to make an even bigger impact in the years to come.

When I’m not in the boardroom or out in the field, I love enjoying the beauty of the natural world and living a healthy, active lifestyle. When the weather’s good you can find me kitesurfing or cycling through the mountains, or maybe enjoying a yoga class by the beach.
